The Silver Ninja - Indoctrination

TSN – Indoctrination is the second and last book in the discontinued prototype series. Eventually, I will probably remove both books to avoid confusion for new readers. For now, they live on.

This one stings a little.

Although the first book had some major flaws, I was quite proud and pleased with how Indoctrination came out. I had an awesome villain for Cindy to fight with. Cool action scenes with various locations throughout New Jersey. And I even incorporated a flying motorcycle! (Man, I loved that flying motorcycle.)

Oh, and there was a flying battleship, rockets attacking New York City, and a showdown against a mech!

Yet the book BOMBED!

Full disclosure: If Indoctrination had been successful, I would have never rebooted the series. The tepid reaction to Indoctrination indicated that I needed to change my approach.

Back then I thought Indoctrination was a strong entry in my series. Turns out, I was wrong. Although I still think it had great action scenes, the plot and characters didn’t make sense.

Every year that goes by, I learn from my mistakes and try to make the next story better.

I will say this though…

Indoctrination isn’t dead.

Regardless of how it bombed, there was some good content in here that I cannot give up.

The villain I wrote for this book was too good to be forgotten and is one of my favorite characters. Expect to see her again.
